The Folk Orbit is dedicated to supplying UK based Roots Music and Dance Information. It lets people know where Acoustic Live Root Music and Dance can be found near them in the UK;
Folk, Blues, Jazz, Soul, Cajun, Bluegrass, World Music, Etc. We are very grateful to all those who constantly contact us to keep our information up to date.
The Folk Orbit is non-profit making & all labour is given voluntarily

was our original volunteer illustrator for a number of years, when the Folk Orbit was issued as a postal magazine as well as a website. He is an acomplished concertina player and singer in the folk world. He is now heavily involved in Folk Camps. |

Volunteer Illustrator(s) Wanted
If you are an illustrator who would like to utilise the Folk Orbit to exhibit your creativity through our homepage illustrations and add to your CV and portfolio, we would love to hear from you.
You will have creative freedom to produce artwork loosely within the realms of the 'Folk Orbit' genre of music, festivals, people, dance etc. Your artwork will naturally be ascribed to you and hyperlinked to your own website/ contact details. It is hoped that Home page Illustrations will be updated on a regular basis at least based on seasonal happenings in the Root Music world.
It might be that more than one illustrator contributes. It may also be possible to display illustrations on pages, other than just the Homepage. Artwork would need to be sent electronically as .jpg or .gif files.
